Needs Secure Parking Facility. The staff is great. The facilities kind of 80's, but the parking facilities available are unacceptable. Columbus has a severe homeless-street person problem. My vehicle was broken into. The homeless have the run of the parking facilities at night and there is no security whatsoever. If I was female traveling to Columbus, I would never stay here. Care needs to be taken when making a reservation at a downtown Columbus hotel. One needs to check for secured parking. I do about 200 room nites a year in places from one star to four stares and in the 6 years I been doing what I am doing, I have never seen such a poor excuse for parking facilities or security. It seems at the Hyatt Capital Square, the law of the jungle applies.
I am not likely
to return to the Hyatt On Capitol Square.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Good
Very nice hotel for the area. A little dead on the weekend, but it is Columbus. And Ohio. Rooms were very clean, simple amenities, room service was VERY good, location was quiet, front desk was courteous. I did book a room very last minute and did...

We stayed in the most expensive room, the Presidential Suite, for our honeymoon and nothing we had asked for was done right the first time. The bathroom had mold in the shower and dirty grout. The faucets, including the Jacuzzi had black solids coming out with the water and through the jets. The furniture was beat up. Only one robe was offered. Lastly, there were paper cups to go with a 1-cup coffee maker in a 1200 sq. ft. room. The service was even worse.

The hotel was attached to a shopping center, so I was able to do some shopping and eat at reasonably priced restaurants without leaving the hotel. The room was comfortable. The check in and the check out were fast. They also have a computer that will allow you to check in to your flight.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Hyatt On Capitol Square.
I might recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
The ceilings are crusted with water damage. The room service costs as much as meal at Spagos... and is no where near Wolfgang Puck.Internet costs an additional 10 bucks a day and breakfast was surely not complimentary.

Excellent
The Hyatt Capital was a very nice hotel. The people were very accomadating. The room was very large with a nice view of the Capital. It is only a few blocks to the historic German Village which I would highly recommend to anyone who stays here.

Okay
I requested a King size bed in my reservation, which I purchased a month in advance, but when I went to check in they told me they did not have any. Not until I made a scene did they suddenly come up with a beautiful room which overlooked the...
