Tucked away among tropical gardens and bordered by lakes and a beautifully manicured golf course, the Hyatt Coconut Plantation in Bonita Springs, Fla. is one mile from the Gulf of Mexico and 17 miles from Southwest Florida International Airport. This condominium-style resort, popular among leisure travelers, is located between Fort Myers Beach and Naples, both of which are just 20 miles away. Designed with premium antiqued- leather armchairs, a mid-room rock fireplace and provincial-wood floors, the hotel's lounge area makes a strong first impression. Raptor Bay, the hotel's 18-hole championship golf course, is certified by the Audubon Society, and signage at each hole identifies the rare birds that guests might see at that location. Complimentary transportation is provided to the marina and the hotel's private island, Big Hickory, where guests can swim in the Gulf and relax on the white-sand beach. The Hyatt Coconut Plantation features tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, but the most striking attribute is the grotto-style pool that sits beneath towering palm trees and jutting rock waterfalls. The hotel has a total of five outdoor pools, and a lazy river for relaxing afternoons. A fitness center, conference room, playground, arcade and supervised childcare activities are among some of the other amenities available to hotel guests. The 108 condominium-style guestrooms feature raw umber-wood furnishings and British West Indies décor. Each unit features high-speed Internet access, satellite television, work desks, in-room safes, and full kitchens with contemporary dining furniture and stainless steel appliances. Private balconies that overlook the lake and golf course are just another feature that distinguish the Hyatt Coconut Plantation as one of Florida's premier hotel resorts.

The Coconut Plantation is a beautiful resort. We have been coming down to the area for 5 years now and it has become one of my favorite vacation spots. The amenities are second to none and the accommodations are spacious and well appointed. The Hyatt hotel is about 1/2 mile down the road and is as nice of a hotel as you will find. The landscaping at both locations is beautiful and the service is top notch. We have stayed at several Ritz Carltons and Four Seasons Resorts and hotels and the Hyatt at Coconut Plantation is definitely in the same class as both of these world class names. Being located just outside of Naples cuts down on the crowds a bit in the peak season which is also plus. The Raptor Bay Golf Course also provides a great aesthetic experience and excellent service as well. Very scenic and well worth playing. Looking forward to going back again a couple of times next year.
