I am so shocked to see some of the negative posts about the Hyatt Beach House Resort. I LOVE THIS PLACE! They are maintaining it well. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Everytime I go back, I see that they've done upgrades in the room. The

We have been owners since it opened and never had any problems. I know other guest have . The manager they have now is wonderful and listens patiently at the owners meeetings. I love the Palm trees and feeling like I'm somewhere away from everyone. The only thing I have a complaint about is the internet which I understand will be free next year and charging owners for trailer parking. Our room is always clean . We have never traded out, We love it there.

We did a time share swap through II and found it the be a great vacation week! We had read reviews that the units were worn and not very clean. The unit we had was recently updated and spotless. We had guests and the resort cleaned mid-week with fresh linens, including the pool towels. We found the kitchen well stocked and working well with coffee filters. Ice was easy to obtain from the ice machine. Master bathroom a delight. Pool and sand (Beach )and jacuzzi were all adequate.
Negatives: Charge for internet service and $10.00 guest fee parking.

It used to be a really nice place, many years ago. We bought a two bedroom unit (sleeps six) when it was still being developed around nine years ago and purchased the Premium week of Christmas. We had three kids and vacations can get pretty pricey so it seemed like a great idea. We looked forward to our trip for about the first five years. After that we have actually forfeited our week and have let the points expire (there goes about a grand) because it is such a hassle to go through the machinations of rescheduling anything that makes sense. The hoops you have to jump through to reschedule any week but your own and the Resorts International nightmare maze is just not to be believed.
After the initial purchase costs were finally paid (somewhere in the neighborhood of 20k and that took till my kids all grew up), the yearly maintenance fee has grown to become ridiculous (approx. $1000.00). Yet the rooms are worn, the appliances and furniture are only replaced if something is unusable and it doesn't look like there will be modern upgrades to be incorporated any time soon. As an insulting addition they offer wireless Internet as a "convenience" to the guests, however they don't bother to mention the exorbitant rate they CHARGE (something like an additional $10 dollars a day per computer) anyplace on their website and only post it in the sign age where you can connect. However, the Mc Donald's in Key West offers it for free, so figure that one out. Consequently, the place is really showing its age (where is the maintenance fee going??) and in dire need of repair along with some major improvements.
I would have been better off burying my money in a hole. I honestly must say it was the most naive financial decision I have ever made and I must have been overcome by the sunshine fumes and the margaritas that year. Good luck trying to sell this "Lifetime Deedable Investment" and get even half of your money back. Never again, never. Do I still stay there? Yes, on occasion since we have family in Florida though we live up North now but honestly we try to avoid it whenever possible and hope the stars align so that we can go someplace else in the network. We have only managed to accomplish that four times in all these years though so I have learned to not hold my breath.

I work for a company that books for Hyatt Vacation Club. I was looking though some of the resorts that we book for and came across the Beach House and fell in love with it and decided that I just had to go. I figured it could be a nice little getaway for me and my wife. Also it would give us some alone time away from the kids. So we scheduled a time to go. We both got really excited the closer it got to the date.(excited for nothing!!!) Once we arrived it was all down hill form there. I was completely disappointed just by the looks of it and of chores our money that we paid for it was non-refundable, so we were stuck. Later on I even called the headquarters and they wouldn't help us out so we tried to make the best of it. Words can not describe of how awful this place was. It was filthy, dirty. The food was terrible. The tv in our room was broke and they wouldn't do anything about it. The pool and spa wasn't open due to maintenance, which we were not told prior to check in or we wouldn't have went at all, or picked a time when it would be open. This list can go on and on about how terrible this place is. I absolutely do not recommend this Resort at all!

We have stayed in our Key West timeshare 3 times now and have enjoyed it tremendously. I agree about the shuttle the other reviewer mentioned. I love the screened in porches. The master suite is great. I would like some nonstick pots and pans though. we are planning our next trip in march 2008. We look forward to it.

A lovely time! The condo is pretty and inviting. The master suite is perfect. You need a car or shuttle to get to Duval Street but I would recommend staying there. No amenities at the pool as at other places (food, beverage).

If you like a nice staff greeting you when you arrive, this is not the place for you! They are happy to sell you a time share and that is all they are happy about. Have a problem like the air condition will not go below 75 and hot water heater not ...

Excellent
The condo was large, and perfect for our group of six. The pool is wonderful, and nice to have a beach in the gulf. Location is far from the action, but was actually a welcomed change to the hustle/bustle of downtown.
