A great stay

25 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I ended up staying two nights. It wasn't bad at all. I felt really safe there which was important to me because I was alone (and female). It sits right next to a police station. The staff was courteous for the most part. The room was clean. Big TV. Comfortable big bed. Coffee maker in the room (but bring your own coffee because the stuff they give is not good). Bathroom was impecably clean which I really enjoyed. As someone who isn't used to nor particular comfortable in a Ritzy place, I really enjoyed this quiet, low key hotel. But had I wanted to have some fun, the bar was the place to be and the band was great. All in all, if you are looking for a nice place to stay that is safe and comfortable, I would recommend this hotel.

Considering it was under construction, Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Knoxville was OK.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Howard Johnson Plaza Knoxville.
I would not recommend it to friends.
