Howard Johnson Plaza Inn

Do not stay here. My family and I were here this past weeked and got quite a shock.

This hotel description makes the location sound ideal, but the elevated highway is practically on top of the hotel in a bad neighborhood. We were afraid to leave our car out at that night. Our local realtor also agreed with us that this was a terrible neighborhood.

There was trash all over the place outside the rooms and in the parking lot.

The room was remodeled, yes- but my brother got up in the middle of the night and found large cockroache scurrying around the bathroom floor when he turned the light on.

Also- do not arrive a minute late for breakfast (ends at 9am) or they will rudely tell you not to come in (although there was a lot of food and people were still serving themselves).

Stay away!

I have always enjoyed staying in Howard Johnson hotels.
