I usually think of HOJO as being a substandard hotel, but this one was actually quite nice. They have a great pool here, its very large and has a nice deep end, and its also very clean. They have a large game room with a pool table and air hockey.
The front desk staff was friendly, if not a bit befuddled. The room was spacious (especially the bathroom) and it was clean. It did have some maintenance issues but nothing major, just some missing light bulbs and peeling wallpaper in bathroom.
There was no continental breakfast and the restaurant was highly overpriced.
Room was nice size. Mattress in room

Okay
Room was nice size. Mattress in room was very unsturdy, like it did not have a frame underneath. Room had funny smell and toliet kept filling with water. Nice grounds and pool with a good location.

My non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke and I was told it was because all the rooms above it were smoking. I was moved to a complete non-smoking section of the hotel on request.

Everything was great except for the soft uncomfortable bed. They had a nice pool. The hotel is in kind of a ghetto location though. My room overlooked a scenic closed K-mart.
