Howard Johnson Lodge Mercer Hotel

It's a very comfortable place with a courteous staff. I had no problems at all.

I was forced, unexpectedly to stay a month. They made sure I had a little refrigerator in my room, and met every need that I could have had. They even brought my husband to the airport while he was in Pennsylvania after I left. They are the most amazing people.

This hotel made me feel welcome: Every day, they treated me like they knew me. Everyone was nice, and helped me during a pretty stressful time in my life.

Needs much work, very old and beat up. Restaurand closed ,bar closed, room and bedspread smelled of smoke, room was old,small and ceilings and bath /sink stained. Cheap price and nice pool but really would never go back. Also looked to be under construction. Free breakfast was about gone when we got there with a half hour left. ..no milk or juice or danish left..the girl who worked there wouldn't get us juice until she confirmed that it was not 10:00 yet.

We stayed during the winter and our room was very cold. We got switched to another room and it was also very cold. Had we had another choice, we would have stayed elsewhere.

I was just disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We had stayed here before and it does need an update but the pool area was not vacuumed the entire visit.
