I was sent to a room at the end of the building. It was a no smoking room, I requested a smoking room. I went all the way back to the desk. They sent me to another room and the room was not cleaned, the beds not made, the bathroom had towels on the floor, etc. I went back for another room, and the sheets were not changed on the bed. The bed was made but not changed. The cable TV was not working, there were no local stations either. Coming back it took forty-five minutes to get picked up from the time I called.
The hotel was under new operation, the service was good but slow when we ordered our meals the first night. The rest of the nights we had a buffet set up for us and the food was great. The air conditioner acted up in the conference room, it was really cold the first day but once again it seemed to be more of a startup shakeout problem because they had it fixed the next day. They had coffee in the room but no tea bags and so was at the breakfast buffet. All in all a good experience.
This hotel made me feel important: The way the front desk responded to the lack of tea at the breakfast buffet going to buy it for those of us who drank tea showed they really wanted to help us through our conference.
