Howard Johnson Inn Las Vegas Airport Hotel

I stayed there in early May 2007. I have stayed here for 3 years. It is merely a place to sleep. The rooms are ok, the bathroom was clean. Their is a shuttle to the Tropicana on the strip at noon, 4pm, 8pm and midnight weekdays, More often on weekends every 2 hours. They will shuttle you to and from the airport which is nice. Since this is a budget hotel do not expect the Ritz. They had shampoo, a hairdryer and fridge in the room. Also a coffee maker with coffee.

For $36 I didn't expect a fancy decorated room. I don't really care if they have nice art on the walls, it's just a place to sleep. I felt safe and had no trouble parking. Rental car places are nearby.

The room had roaches and was shabby and worn. There were not enough towels and we had a lot of trouble finding our room. The desk staff would not go and show us our room so we had to wander around the parking lot at one o'clock in the morning looking. We were tired after a long plane journey.

The room had no power when I arrived and the staff took over twenty minutes to determine they could not fix the problem before even attempting to move me to another room. The second room was not actually ready for occupancy. The third room was finally acceptable.

We had trouble locating our room and the desk staff was not helpful. Our room had roaches in it and the interiors were tired and worn. The coffee area was not clean and it needed updating. I would not stay at this Howard Johnson hotel again and the experience was so bad I might not stay at any of the chain's hotels.

My 81 year aunt was traveling on her own and stayed at the Howard Johnson Inn Las Vegas Airport, it was a stopover to her destination in California. She said the staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They gave her instructions on how to get the Greyhound and avoid high cab fare. She said the hotel shuttle drives were very helpful, and their assistance made her trip go very smoothly. Thanks to the staff.
