the 9 of us just got back from a 4 day stay here. if you're looking for a great place to stay come here. rooms (3) were all clean. beds were comfy, 1 complained they were too hard and 1 complained they were too soft. some in our party arrived before checkin time. we were allowed to check in early (and quickly)and waited for the rest of us to arrive. free shuttle to and from train was fantastic. we called on the way back from dc to cheverly station and the van arrived minutes of our arrival. breakfast room is very small and a long line half past every hour because people were catching the hourly shuttle. the breakfast selection was ok. cereal, muffins, danish coffee juice. the homemade mini waffles are great but a line to make them.i would definetly come back again. like i said all three rooms were very nice and big.(bigger than my room at disneyworld.) all of the staff was very kind and friendly. we checked out saturday morning and they STILL shuttled us back and forth from the train station and let us leave our parked cars for free. also when checking out other hotels be aware that ALOT of the hotels charge $15-$20 a day to park your car, here it's free.along with the breakfast.the van driver was great.we're sorry we missed him our last day. hope he caught some fish. be smart and put you name on the shuttle pickup list.we did and it worked out great. fridge in room was big, held case of water and snacks. a word about dc. alot of construction going on.american history smithsonian closed and work all around dc area,so you might not be able to get up close to some sites.we took double decker bus tour. DO NOT drive in dc traffic is bumper to bumper ALL the time.tour company was great too. we took 24 hour tour we had 2 hours left on the 2nd day and they let us ride the whole blue route.it was the cheaper double decker line and they were really nice and friendly free ice cold water on a hot day. go up top and enjoy the great view. after i heard how mean street dc was. my only big shock was i hardly saw any police presence except when bush was leaving the white house. none on the metro or train stations. we're from philly and there are always cops in clear site all over our train systems and the same for nyc. penn station cops and MP'S's all in present site. got off tour at arlington cemetery, be aware... this is a very hard hilly walk for anyone on a hot humid day walking to see changing of the guard. here was ambulance taking away someone who passed out due to the heat. we will be going back again. and stay at cheverly hojo.. there was sooo much we didn't see. (i thought we'd run out of things to do) have fun and wear comfy shoes. THANK YOU ALL AT CHEVERY HOJO... you made our mini family reunion so easy and fun..

Bed Bugs in the bed, tons of them in July 07. I had to throw away pillow and night clothes. I had three doctor visits and 7 prescriptions for the infections and scars left. No one seems to care, each is independently owned. Breakfast was a joke unless you wanted to sit with "ladies of the night". This happened July 07 and I am still in a fight to get my prescriptions, doctor visits and money for pain and suffering. I am asking for a total of $722. You would think I was asking for a million the way this is being dragged out. Give me a break.

I am surprised that this hotel should be in third world, not in US. I did not understand the attitude of the management. They even did not change the comforters since they opened this hotel. Somebody can assume that the shape of the amenities. No exhaust in the restroom. Location is great but the wrong hotel at the right place.

The room had stained carpets, stained with black marker on the walls, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling with water leaking from upstairs, and dusty everything.
There was soap scum in the bathroom, men with prostitutes staying in a room across, men trying to get into our room, no heat whatsoever, and I had to sleep fully clothed with a winter coat on.
This is the most disgusting place Ive ever stayed in, if you have children this is a huge No!
I can't believe this place hasnt been shut down. I was moved to three different rooms, all in the same condition. The only thing good about this place was the service at the front desk.

I, along with three other people, got mugged by four men in the hotel lobby at 7 pm. They had guns with them, and I lost my laptop, wallet, watch, and cell phone. The cops who came later told me that it's in one of the worst neighborhoods.
