This was the best-priced hotel in Charleston. It provides basic accommodations, and if you're looking for a view, the Riverfront hotels offer better options, but at a higher price.

I thought the room rate was exceptionally reasonable for the quality of the hotel.
This hotel made me feel comfortable: The rooms were nice and clean, and very accessible to the area we were visiting. We were white in a black area and felt very at ease.

The Howard Johnson Inn in Charleston was very good. They delivered great service, had a nice and helpful staff, and was next to the interstate 26. It was great and we will stay there again very soon. Hopefully, by that time, the restaurant has been remodeled and open.
