It is ok, close to the airport. However the 15 dollar a day fee is stupid for travlers that needs a place to stay for a few days. Front desk was very rude, and hard to find anybody here that was friendly and speaks english. If your in town for a day
Even though we had reserved a standard room, and paid for it, we arrived to discover that it was no longer available and it took 2 hours before they reluctantly found us another room and agreed to giving us a discount. The discount was refused to us ...

Mediocre
People in front desk were speaking English in a incomprehensible way and parking was too expensive. I guess if you have no other place to stay you can go, like I did. Wouldn't recommend it in any way though.
served its purpose as budget stop-over

Okay
We recently stayed 2 nights. Due to arrive by late train, emailed them to advise (didn't want room re-let), & asked confirmation, none received. On arrival 1st room allocated, had not been serviced. Our room was ok, old but clean, and...
58 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I had booked at the Howard Johnson Newark to book my room. When I arrived late, they had given my room away and I had a disabled room for the night even though on my reservation it said 'Do not give me a disabled room'. This room was on the ground floor in a back wing of the hotel and every door in the wing had signs of force opening. The fire door in this area was at the back of the hotel and was a clear glass door as I remember. I complained about the room and how they had treated me and my complaint on this and it didn't do any good. I was told the manager had said because I complained he wasn't interested. I insisted on a different room the next day which I got. The new room was dirty, the dust behind the bedside table was thick and had not been attended to in some time. The top of the bulb in the bedside lamp was thick with dust; all signs of a dirty room. Do not use this hotel, there are lots of others which must be better than this. I will never use this motel again
