This hotel made me feel content: The employee treated me with respect. I had a problem with an ex who hit me during my stay, and the employee ran out to help me and the other staff member called 911. They saved my life that night.

The front desk receptionist was extra friendly. She tried to get to know me instead of just doing the job. She made sure that was happy and called the other Howard Johnson to see if my ride was there several times. Great employee!
This hotel made me feel welcome: I was in Michigan to attend a friend's wedding and there was confusion with which Howard Johnson the person was supposed to pick me up at. The owner of the Howard Johnson took me to the wedding so I wasn't late or missing it.

My family and I enjoyed the swimming and recreation area.
