Howard Johnson Express Inn and Suites Grand Rapids Hotel

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would like to go back in the winter and see the lovely fireplace in the lobby lit. Close to the airport and lots of shopping, restaraunts. Would definitly recommend it.

There were rude hotel guests who were running up and down the halls yelling and partying from 12:00 AM until 2:30 AM. When I called to complain to the front desk, they told me there was nothing they could do about it. They never apologized and never offered to do anything to remedy the situation. My father and I had to wake up the next morning at 5:00 AM for traveling out of state and we were very tired. We did not feel that we received adequate value since we lost sleep and we were upset with the front desk staff lady's uncaring attitude.

I did research online and the hotel's Web site said there was a pool and gym. When we got there, there was not a pool or gym.

This hotel made me feel content: The room was clean. The staff was friendly.
