52 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel was absolutely filthy, the beds uncomfortable, there were broken windows in rooms, the sheets and beds were stained, tubs were black with dirt. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms weren't made up until the end of the day. Worst place I have ever stayed. Checked out as soon as we found another place to stay.

Room was shabby and dirty. Bathroom was not clean and bed sheets had hairs on them. The staff fixed the toilet and changed the sheets, promptly. However, the hotel is not worth the $79 single room rate I was given (after AAA discount). There are a number of other choices within view of this hotel (on North side of the interstate).

It was great. They let you keep dogs in the room.

This hotel made me feel elegant: They let us keep our dogs in the room.

I am very likely to return to the Howard Johnson Express Inn Spearfish.
