I stayed for 2 nights and was well taken care of by the front desk staff ,they were very helpful to many of my needs and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I would stay there on my next trip back.

My son and I were on an extended vacation throughout California. We'd already stayed at several different chain hotels and motels. Needing a room in San Jose, I surfed the net and found this Howard Johnson. When we arrived, the lobby looked nothing...

THe hotel staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The location was fine by us as it was a very short drive to downtown. The rooms need to be updated, however, as we had cigarette burns in our bedspread and mattress. We thought it was pricey...
32 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
The room was tolerable, but the hotel had no pool. The continental breakfast was good. The staff was knowledgeable, but the location was not in the greatest neighborhood. It was close to downtown and it allowed dogs!
