Howard Johnson Express Inn San Diego Motel

We were there 3 nights and the party animals made loud noise all night long. Stomping on the floor drinking up down the stairs. We called management at 3 a.m. and nobody answered. I recommend the top floor if you stay there. The sofa was terrible. The TV was far from the bed. The bed was OK. It does have wi-fi.

Pillow case had blood stains on it on our stay on Saturday night, January 19th. Otherwise, the motel is only considered as mediocre. It's old and tired and I would think twice before I stayed there again.

My party of 4, including my disabled elderly mom, arrived @ approx 9:25pm Tuesday 10/2nd: locked out of office 40+ minutes w/no place to sit; when we did get in the lights in room went off & on; tub wouldn't drain-> nite clerk told me I could get the plunger (but they did clean the tub afterwards); not for poor single parents in town to watch their new marine's ega/graduation!!! they overcharged my debit card $369.21 which they reversed but not before they caused $367 in over draft chgs of which they'd only compensate $40 "as final settlement"! i have had no $ for a week & they don't care!!!! so can't do anything with my marine on his 10 day leave before going back to california

I liked the price for the location. It was inexpensive compared to all the other hotels.
