This hotel has to be the best value in Connecticut. The hotel looked average from the outside, and the rooms looked brand new. We had a wonderful stay right off the highway I-84. We stayed two nights while visiting my family in Hartford and it’s about 10 minutes away on the highway.

This was the dirtiest room I have ever been in. Do not stay here. The lights did all work, but the bathroom was hairy and sticky, it had dirty rugs infested with fleas, dirty sheets, and the bathroom door did not close.

The desk clerk was very helpful in getting me to a room without having to walk far.

Torn carpets, dirty bathrooms, worn linens, disgust, worst hotel I have ever seen. Run by non-Americans.

Obviously any guest isn't expecting much based on the rate and the fact that it is a HOJOs with the orange roof and all, but don't get any nostalgic notions about staying here.

The staff went beyond there normal routine to make sure everything was ok and that we had enough of everything that was needed.

It was very nice for the price and had some extra touches to make it more 'homey' like silk flowers on a little table etc.
