This property WAS a run down Super 8 in a bad neighborhood. The owners changed the brand name to Howard Johnson and put up a new sign. Unfortunately the only change that accompanied the new name was new higher rates. You can use maps.live.com and

We felt it was not located in the safest area but the staff was courteous and the room was clean. It was conveniently located to downtown which was what we wanted.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Howard Johnson Downtown & Opryland.

No hairdryers in rooms, have to dry off and dress in main room, bath to small. Not in a very nice location. Continnel breakfast is orange juice coffee and cold rolls, no microwave.

this hotel was a dive. They had the baseboard off, the wall paper was coming off. the tub was so dirty, look like it hadn't been cleaned in months. one lamp had a short in it, the toilet lid was broken off. had to ask them to fix it twice....
