Howard Johnson Clifton Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while we were in town. We were pleasantly surprised to see this beautifull property. great breakfast and very friendly staff.

the hotel wasn't really a bad place very quiet no problems me and my boyfriend were "laying" in the bed enjoying each other when he yelled what the fk is that?? a littl black bug crawled away very fast it was really small........we were freaking out looking on the mattress but we seen nothing later i looked on the internet and found out a little about bed bugs the next day later that night my boyfriend had at least 15 bites going down side of his back......called the front desk and they moved our room same problem there (i stayed 2 days in this bug motel in disguise) when later i was leaving and noticed many mattresses and toilets i think the floor i was on was the only floor with open rooms they should have definitely closed down for a couple months so people wouldn't have to go thru that

After viewing all the bad reviews, I was quite afraid of going to this hotel. As i didnt have time to cancel and i didnt want to loose my money, thats the only reason i went there, but I would say, this is really a nice hotel and the staff is also very helpful!!!

of course, the rooms need some work, but not all, and overall..its a nice place to stay. I would go there again.

its just 15 minutes to times square and the bus stop is right out side of the hotel.

I stayed here for 2 nights, and it was a dump!

My mattress smelt like pee, no joke. It was the worst. It is located right near a graveyard, and the balcony had many locks on it. And the worst part, the door couldn't even close good! Pay more and stay somewhere else, it will be worth the extra money.

It could take up to an hour and a half to an hour to reach NYC. It's not worth it.

This hotel has a great need for the carpet to be cleaned in the rooms and hallways. The musty smell is overwhelming at times. The personnel do not always understand you when you speak proper English. The only bonus is IHOP is right next door!
