I was really not happy at all with the quality of the room. The bedspreads were terribly stained and were in bad need of replacing. The room smelled of stale smoke even though it was in the non-smoking section. The room was just dirty. The pool was nice, and the staff was more than helpful in giving us ideas and directions to the places we were going. I give the staff an A+ and the quality of the room an F.
This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was excellent in helping with meal ideas, and giving advice and directions on the best way to get to the places we were going.
I am
not likely
to return to the Howard Johnson Birmingham.
