Hotel Wales

My husband and I stayed at The whales for two nights. There was no bathroom door, only a door to the dressing room/closet. The walls were paper thin. There was a party going on in the hall, which the management couldn't control until 4:00 AM. We got very little sleep. If you want an upper east side location, better consider something else.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my room at the Hotel Wales - it was quite spacious (something hard to find in NY!) with ample room for all of our luggage. There was a cozy sitting area, two TVs, and the bathroom was clean and had first rate Aveda products. This hotel literally is the PERFECT location as Central Park is two blocks away, and all the museums are down the street. It's a fabulous area with some really great restaurants and shopping. After a busy day of strolling around the city, we relaxed w/ a nice glass of wine on the roof top terrace. I highly recommend this hotel to couples and just about anyone wanting to stay on the Upper East side!
