I expected better services from this hotel. The majority of the people that were staying when I was there were a lot older and they seemed to get more services like having the door opened as they...

I checked into the Valencia Santana Row expecting a high end luxurious facility. I was MOST disappointed when I got to my room to find out that previous guests smoked. The room was filled with smoke from previous guests and when I looked out onto the court there were cigarette butts all over the tile roof where visitors disposed of their cigarette butts. There was no reason to change my room since I felt that if this was suppose to be "non smoking" it would be the same elsewhere.
The final disappointment is that the bath towels were kept in a wood tray at the foot of the toilet with no place to hang them prior or after use. I would not recommend this expensive disappointing experience.

Boutique Hotel in San Jose. I stayed at the Hotel Valencia Santana Row in San Jose when I first moved to the Bay Area. The hotel is very new and is extremely stylish. It is conveniently located in Santana Row which is an outdoor shopping area with plenty of restaurants and other shops. There are several parking garages located within Santana Row and the hotel also has valet parking which is very convenient. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds have gorgeous faux fur blankets on them. Highly recommend for either business travel or a weekend getaway.
I am very likely
to return to the Hotel Valencia Santana Row.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I expected the rooms to be more luxurious, based on how the lobby looked, but they were only adequate. Also, we had a package that was supposed to include in-room breakfast and we were double charged for it. They reversed the charge at check out.

Great boutique hotel steps away from everything. If you ever wanted to see what it is like to live in one of those chic new urban developments with commercial retail stores (high end to boot, like Gucci and Burberry) on the ground floor and...

I've stayed here several times and have a good experience each time. The rooms are very nice and well kept, beds have always been comfortable. The rooms have all the standard features you'd expect in an upscale hotel.
A good bonus is the bar in the lobby of the hotel is a popular night spot called Vbar. The hotel is also located on Santana Row, so you'll have tons of shopping and dining options all within walking distance.
