Hotel Stratford

we stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and found it to be a great value and perfect location. Right on trolley car line. Get a day trolley pass to ride back and forth. Take the F train to Fisherman's wharf. Car rentals are near by. Used Avis to get a car to visit Muir Woods and see red woods. Union Sq has open wifi. Golden gate park is a must see. Take the bus at bottom of Powell street to park and see the Japanese Garden too. Recommend hotel and also found taking the muni (subway) is best way to get to Stratford.

The location is great, right on Powell St. If you want to have Free Wifi(from Union Square) then ask for a room in front of the hotel; however, it could be noisey if you leave the window open. (There is alway something going on on Powell St.) The room is small but clean and reasonable priced. If you come to S.F. and looking for an inexpensive place stay in Union Sqaure area then this is good hotel for you.

It is not a hotel to hang out in, One of the fancy hotel is just up the block.

I loved this place! It's an adorable boutique hotel right in the middle of bustling Union Square. We were close to lots of shopping and good places to eat. It's right on the cable car line, and very convenient to the busses and underground transit.

The room we stayed in was a little small, but we didn't go to San Francisco to spend the whole day in our hotel room! It was very cozy and comfy, though! It looked like it was freshly painted and the amenities were good.

It wasn't noisy at all, and we kept our windows open both nights we were there to let the air in.

It's a very nice place with friendly people. It's located in a great location for an affordable price.
