male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
If you plan on visiting Knoxville, do not stay at this hotel. The owner lives in it and the place wreaks of a horrible smell and I think alot of comes from his room. The hotel is a dump, it is filled with cheap antique furniture and dirty carpets and rotting floors. The staff is totally uncaring and seemed more bothered by you if you have any complaints (if you can even find any staff, the place closes up including the desk at 9pm and you are out of luck). They do nothing to fix what is wrong with your room. The A/C unit is awful, very noisy and turns off and on all night.
The only good thing about this place is location, but there are other hotels in the same area that you can stay at and still be downtown. STAY AWAY from this place, you will be sorry if you stay at this nightmare of a hotel.
Thisplace sucked so bad. I have never in my life see a hotel that had so little going for it. I would never stay there again and the people sayikng they would, I bet they are the hotel staff trying to couteract these real...
This place, well, let me see., we got there at 4:30 pm and they didnt have our room cleaned and absolutely would not let us in the room. We later found out why! We waited for nearly an hour in a very dirty lobby "stains on the coach and eggs or...
When we checked in we felt Ok about location and vintage look to hotel. But after spending some time in room, we decided to leave hotel and find another place to stay for the night. The carpet was filthy, the bathroom floor was rotted around tub...

Horrible
I booked this hotel because of its proximity to Market Square in Knoxville and because I like eclectic, non-chain hotels. But this hotel was very seedy and I would not recommend staying there. The whole hotel smelled like sanitizer and incense. ...
I have stayed here three times this year and loved it everytime! Feels just like home, only someone else makes the bed for you. The first time I ran into a few problems that the staff quickly took care of and told me not to worry. They were...
This hotel is so cozy and unique. The room was great, the front desk staff was wonderful, and the prices are fabulous. I won't stay anywhere else in Knoxville.

The Staff was great, we had a private party and it couldn't have gone better. Wonderful location and decor. Todd and the rest of the staff made us feel at home immediately.
