Hotel Sainte Claire

This hotel is in a rather good location, very close to some good restaurants in downdown San Jose. Just go downstairs and you can find food at Original Joes, an italian restaurant, serving big portions of hearty italian meals. The room I stayed in is rather small, the hotel is quite old, I suppose it's charming in that way, but personally I like the modern styled hotels, like the Marriot accross the street of the Sainte Claire.

The location was conveniently located near a lot of good food places. Some rooms were are little smaller then expected, but some rooms have a really good view. My advice is to try to get the rooms at the corner of the building. The elevator makes you a little queasy when you go all the way to the twenty third floor but otherwise, it is a really good hotel.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They were courteous at the reservation desk. They were willing to have a conversation. They were diligent.

This hotel seemed very old and beat up. I thought it was an old Best Western when I checked in. It is the hotel out at the airport, not downtown.

This is a nice hotel in a good location and with good service. The concierge was helpful especially when a dental problem arose. The hotel is great for tourists.
