We had a family wedding with out of area friends and family attending. We had them stay at the Hotel Plaza Athenee at a group rate. The hotel was very accomodating and very nice. They all enjoyed it.

The location was superb - between Madison and Park Avenues. The room the quietest room we had in NYC; there was no sound of taxi horns, dumpsters or sirens. The room was very comfortable with a spacious marble covered bath area and plush linens. The concierge service was very personable. The restaurant was well above average for a hotel restaurant - delicious food and excellent service. It was raining hard on the night we attended the opera; the doorman arranged a ride in the house car, which was a very comfortable Mercedes driven by a most responsible gentleman.
I stayed at the Althenee last summer, it was phenomenol, it was worth every penny. Extrememly luxurious and elegant. I'm thinking of doing it again for my honeymoon this June.
