29 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This Omni property is close to shopping, dining, Starbucks and Northwestern, but I'm not sure I'd choose to stay there again, even with the great location.
I checked in just before a major football game, and the hotel was packed. The line to get to the desk took almost an hour, and there were a lot of people complaining about the rooms they'd received. They managed to ""lose"" my reservation and spent an hour trying to find an open room while I was continually insulted for holding up the check-in line. When I finally got to the room, I was pleased by its large size, the presence of a fridge and minibar, and the thick curtains blocking the bright winter light. And that's about where the pleasantness ended.
It quickly became apparent my room had not been cleaned. The toilet paper roll was almost empty, there were empty minibar-sized bottles of Absolut next to the bed, and there was a large number of crumbs and dirt underneath the windows and all along the wall. Someone had left food in the fridge, although with an open beer. One of the lamps was burned out, the Internet connection was down (and stayed down the entire three days) and the hair dryer was missing. I called the front desk to complain and they were very nice but unfortunately, given that they were completely packed, there was nothing they could do - including send up housekeeping, as they were already gone for the night.
The bed was comfortable, I had plenty of space and ultimately I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. But I don't plan on staying here again, and I definitely can't recommend it. Too many problems and no way to resolve them just left a bad taste in my mouth. There are a number of other good hotels in the area; I'll be trying one of those my next trip.
