Loved the Incredibly comfortable bedding, and the staff who say 'welcome home' when I pulled my car up to the valet. The gold fish program, free internet, & fluffy animal print robes mean I will be booking another stay at the Monaco very soon! The

Okay
The hotel was lovely, but after reading all the reviews, we booked a room with a balcony. Upon arriving we were taken to our room and no balcony. We had booked directly through the hotel. It spelled out the room to a "T", so we went to the front ...
The room was absolutely beautiful, clean, elegant, excellent bedding. The hotel made you feel like a queen/king. The staff was great. They went out of their way to help you. Earl at the front desk was excellent. He was very professional with all...
The room was absolutely beautiful, clean, elegant, great bedding, very New York. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rate was unbelievably low for a hotel of this quality. This will definitely be my destination in Alexandria.

The location was fine, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the dining room was excellent for breakfast. There was a little mix up for us and other members of the family, on our rates, but that was cleared up.

I might recommend it to friends.

The room was dirty when we arrived, toothpaste on the walls, toys under the bed etc. The shuttle was consistently late taking and picking us up at the metro station. the manager on duty in the evenings was not at all helpful. Key card slot on door didn't work, one evening maintenance had to get us into room using 2 screwdrivers. Garage was a dirty mess, car was filthy every day.
Unfortunatly our Agency had booked and paid for the week several months in advance.

Good
This is the most centrally located hotel in Old Town. You can walk to everything! The rooms were fine - somewhat updated. However, don't expect much from the hotel. Everything is being remodeled...everything.
