52 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
After checking out of the hotel and upon my return home 4 hours later, I discovered I had left a suit of clothes hanging in the closet. I called the hotel immediately and was told I had to leave a voice mail with the lost and found department. Needless to say, no on contacted me. I called back the following day and spoke with the Day Manager, and the Executive Housekeeper both assured me that no one else had occupied the room since my departure and they would check with the maid that cleaned the room. After a week's time the Executive Housekeeper called to inform me that the General Manager would do nothing to reimburse me for my missing articles and that I could just call the San Antonio Police to report the incident.
