Excellent
We have just returned from our first (but not our last!) trip to Catalina Island. We chose the Coast Long Beach Hotel because of its close proximity to the Catalina Express boat service to the island.
The Coast Hotel was a great experience....

Mediocre
Kids setting off fire alarms with not retribution. They just did it again. Blast they just allow them to run all over. Any noise in the courtyard echoes througout and comes right into the rooms. Even the clicking of high heels wakes me. I'm a light ...

The hotel was located in a great place with a great view of downtown Long Beach. The hotel was kept up well. The option of indoor/outdoor dining made for a very relaxing breakfast. The only deficiencies noticed were very small...door locks that...

41 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We were there for a wedding, which turned out to be wonderful. It seemed like every room but ours had a balcony. Because we had to check in early for the wedding, we did not get a balcony.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Hotel Maya.
I might recommend it to friends.

We disembarked the Carnival Pride too early to check-in. So we had asked if we could leave our bags. We were allowed to. The bellman picked two of our suitcases out of a dozen or so and sent it back to the ship. We had to initiate all calls, etc. We finally located them with Carnival two weeks later. They reimbursed only me for the shipping. No compensation for clothes we had to go out and buy, thanks to their inept bellman.

to return to the Hotel Maya.
I would not recommend it to friends.
