The location, room and its accessability. Refrigerator being lock. Should have one without a lock in the room. No gift shop in the vicinity... Would most likely to with you again if we do visit Long Beach again.

Horrible
The worst hotel experience in over 20 years. Like pitching a tent in a construction zone.
The first morning, we were awakened at 7:15AM by a group of men yelling in Spanish directly outside our ground level "deluxe bay view room". At 7:30AM the...

Good
Excellent location - great view of downtown Long Beach, within easy walking distance of the Queen Mary, and easy access to I-710 (the Long Beach Freeway) and to downtown Long Beach. Room was very clean and nicely furnished. Maid service was good. ...
40 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My wife and I stayed there recently and since it is a little out of the way we decided to eat our dinner there. The menu choices are very generic....looks like a menu thats been around awhile if you know what I mean...like since the 70's! Well when we finally got our food it was some of the worst, blandest food we have ever had anywhere!!....Unbelievable for this type of Hotel!...I would've sworn that our appetizer which by the way was still frozen in the center, was straight out of a box!!...What a disappointment this was for us and the managerial staff isnt very approachable either.....all in all we werent impressed with the new Joi De Vie management or anything about our experience. I would not reccomend this Hotel in any circumstance!
42 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
We enjoyed and appreciated everything about the Hotel (there Nov. 10-17, 2007)! From the beautiful palms, fountains and tiles at the entrance to our comfortable and clean room. The view was outstanding-the harbor and the lights of Shoreline Village and the Pike across the harbor. Being able to eat on the patio overlooking the bay was an experience we chose to enjoy at least once a day. The food was tasty and the service friendly and efficient. We especially appreciated the kindness of all of the staff at the hotel (the front desk, the gift shop, the restaurant and the bell man). We also appreciated the free "Passport" bus service from the hotel to downtown and to all places in between. No need for a car! THANK YOU to the staff at the Coast Long Beach Hotel for making our stay so memorable! Diane and Cathie from Canada

Excellent
I was at first disapointed that this hotel was not on the beach, I had viewed so many on the web that I missed this detail. However we paid a small amount extra to have a water view, the view is absolutely georgous. The hotel sits on a marina, and ...

Mediocre
I would not reccomend stay here. Location has a nice view if you are facing the ocean but if not, it's pretty much a isolated, deserted, overly priced motel on the coast. For the same price i could of gotten a room at the hyatt. It was my first time ...
