Hotel Lucia has quickly risen to the top of the world?s urban luxury hotel scene with a bundle of accolades from international media and travelers alike. The small, private hotel, like Portland, is stylish and cosmopolitan yet casual and comfortable. The Lucia is noticeably modern but pleasantly lacks the attitude sometimes associated with boutique hotels. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Portland within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the Pearl District, theaters and the waterfront.
The Hotel Lucia hosts the largest permanent collection of black and white photographs created by Pulitzer prize-winning photographer and Oregon native David Hume Kennerly. The Kennerly photos are complemented by dozens of regional and national modern art pieces that hang in the lobby and meeting rooms. The art and photography alone make the trip to Hotel Lucia worthwhile for guests.

24 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I stayed here last week and loved it. Its in a perfect location, although everything in Portland is really close to everything else, for a first time visit to Portland. The staff was great. The bed was really comfortable. The rooms got dark enough to sleep in late if we wanted.
The room service was very fast on the one occasion it was used.
The service was prentious for a place with no lounge, makeshift bathrooms, and insipid art. The worst part was the rooms. Amazingly small! Location was good.
pros: location, price/value, decorWhere else in Portland can you get an intimate, comfortable yet urban chic hotel experience where the service is good, the beds are comfy and location convenient? Nowhere! I didn't even mention the artwork/decor...
pros: Service, Appearance, AmenitiesThis is the hotel you are looking for--in any city. It has class and elegance without being unfriendly to the ordinary traveler. Great get away spot in a gem of a...

Good
Centrally located downtown, this is where I recommend visitors stay when asked for a good hotel in town. Why? Because it's more uniquely Portland than a hotel chain could ever be. It's for people tired of the same old look of larger hotels, since...
