The location was superb right on the plaza. You can park in their lot (parking is tough in Taos) and walk to all the shops and restaurants. They have a top notch restaurant on site (that Julia Roberts goes to) and the boutique hotel has history and elegance. Some of the rooms are a bit smaller but they are cute and work well. They do not allow small children. They do have larger rooms and a huge suite that will knock your socks off. This is a great place for a small wedding reception. We loved it! http://www.LaFondaTaos.com

For the price ($150/night), we thought it would be better than motel 6, but it was not! Will never stay there again.
We stayed during the Christmas holidays and it was beautifully decorated! Our room was warm and cozy and we also enjoyed the plasma TV! The kiva fireplaces in the rooms and throughout the hotel were lovely! We enjoyed the complimentary Starbucks...
