Okay
This is the best place to go for a reasonably priced, good breakfast. They have generous porportions and low prices. It's a little dark and smoky though.
The woman managing this beautiful hotel was the rudest, most obnoxious and ill-equipped manager it has been my displeasure to come across. If not for her, this hotel would warrant a very good rating. The rest of the staff was very accomodating,...
I like the Julien because it is right downtown where there are some very nice restaurants and shopping areas. Their prices were more affordable until a couple months back they raised the rates. With no coffee makers or hairdryers in the rooms and...
55 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We attempted to relax in Dubuque but the hotel was too depressing. We had booked two rooms using military discounts and wound up in rooms smaller than a closet. There was no room to even turn around it was so small. When I took a shower the hot water surged to scalding water and the cold handle was stripped and would not adjust. I then went the front desk to ask for a better room. When we moved into it there were chunks and dust from a leaky ceiling. We informed the desk of this and went on our way. Upon our return it was apparent that housekeeping had not been there so we did it ourselves. This is the tenth year we have stayed there and there is no regard from the hotel to make us feel welcome. Never again!
i love this place because they have cheap alochol, and also i have been there when a wedding was going on and they made sure i wasn't near all those guest, it was very quiet in the area which i was...

Unless you want to try to be double charged and have the police called on you after your room has been paid for, locked out of your room while all of your possesions are in your room, stay elsewhere. Manager Michelle Rolling is extremely...

I recently had an 85th birthday party at The Julien for my grandmother. I was overcharged. The staff was inept and extremely rude! If you want to be treated like a valued customer, go someplace else! The building is old, dirty, and dingy. Do not expect clean accommodations.
Awful Manager/Clueless staff!
