AVOID this hotel! You might be overcharged when making changes to reservations … you might want to get a lawyer if you change a reservation! OK, I am being sarcastic but this is a crazy story. Here are the details that drive my rating: I stayed there in April 2008. I originally booked a 2 day vacation package then called the hotel and they ALLOWED me to change to one night. During check-in the reservation was only 1 night, however, I discovered a month later that they charged me two nights to my credit card. Repeated work with the hotel reservation and manager resulted in an explanation that I booked a non refundable package AND when I called to change the reservation that I made a decision to leave early. Who changes reservations and leave early when rooms are paid? When I made called to make the change to the reservation, I was not told anything about the non refundable section. I was totally misled and the manager reasoning of keeping my money is illogical. With such reasoning and logic applied to my case suggest that you should AVOID this hotel ! Stay at the W Hotel a short distance away which will open shortly or stay at other hotels. TOO MANY OPTIONS in Scottsdale! Go elsewhere!
