The room was so nice, spacious, good beds etc. So don't let the hostel-like reeption and downstairs bar scare you off!
Breakfast was nice too, although we had to make quite a fuzz to get our "included breakfast"... We had booked a double and payed extra to stay four people in the room and our voucher stated that "breakfast is included" apparantly according to hotel policy the included breakfast was only for two of us... That's pretty lame! Anyway, after talking to the manager all four of us got the breakfast.

Near Studio Theater, fun atmosphere and pleasant staff. Breakfast was decent, room clean and the bed very comfortable. Loved the recycle bin in the room. Would stay again.

The price and being close to a supermarket and drug store.The parking at $30 a day plus tax was high.“Location is in the Logan Circle area, right in the heart of the inner city. 10 minute walk to the Metro. The room itself was spacious and clean....

You walk in the the hotel with an air of cool, instead of just an automatic door, it's a curtain that opens to announce your arrival. The decor is a minimalist cool with splashes of color. The music from the sound system gives you the feeling as though it's personal soundtrack going to your flow. This hotel is surely a different look from the staid image of DC'; all conferences and power meetings. The Helix is the type of place that looks like it knows how to have fun.

I was delighted to arrive at the Helix for my first stay in DC. Although the "modern" decorations were tacky at best, the place was being paid for by work and I was happy to be there.
