Hotel Garza Historic Bed and Breakfast Inn - Page 1

It’s a beautiful old building with good bones, it just needs a more appropriate period renovation (cut out the cheese). This building never looked like this in 1916 when it opened as a boarding house. It was likely simple and practical. The nostalgic Victoriana makes it almost scary when you are the only guest in the hotel. But this may be what most folks desire from a bed and breakfast, although this is a hotel. Comparing it to another hotel of the same age and region, I guess I am one to prefer true historic representation like the Faust Hotel in New Braunfels, TX. And if you are offended by open bibles strategically located and lit (and open), or crosses, more bibles, and religious images (not the artistic kind), then you might want to drive a little further.
