60 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Escalante 4 times over the past year, Each time something was wrong. On our first visit, the shower did not work. On our second visit the hot tub did not work ( and was not fixed for over 6 months). On our third visit, the HVAC didn't work, and the toilet in our childrens room didn't work. And not have learned our lesson, we returned for a fourth stay. The shower in our room did not work. It was not fixed on the next day, and we spent a second night without a shower. On checkout, no apology, no refund, no nothing. We'll NEVER go back...they just don't care.

Our five night October 15th to October 20th was wonderful. The hotel provided the exclusiveness that we desired complimented by superior service. Breakfast was promptly prepared early each morning for us to dine by the pool. The hotel staff meet our every need, from offering chairs for our beach trips, scheduling our spa service to accommodate our "honeymoon schedule" and even making us aware that our rental car tire had a slow leak. This place is a "Best Kept Secret".
It was gorgeous! I had a wonderful time here. First class elegance, and a feel like you're in a villa. The gardens are beautiful, the pool lovely, and my traditional room was perfection. I loved the huge bed, the sheets were like butter. The...

This pretentious little place describes itself as a 5-star, quiet, and intimate hotel.
Upon our arrival on February 11/07, we discovered that the place was adjacent to a major construction zone (a condo building is under construction). We were awakened at 7:20 a.m. every morning with the arrival of the construction crew, and the sound of loud trucks moving equipment, etc.
The staff never disclosed this situation to us even though we had made it clear to them that we were looking for a very quiet and restful place. We were charged over $400 per night for this extreme inconvenience.
Under the circumstances, we approached the owner for a discount on our bill, but she refused to do anything. After a few days, we were fortunate to find a much better accommodation right on the beach.
If you like cold showers stay HERE!

Went to Hotel Escalante last year and had the best time ever! The hotel gardens are beautiful, the service is excellent, and the location is the best in Naples if you're staying in a hotel. Don't even consider any other hotel. IMHO it's...
