I stay here whenever I'm in Kelowna. The last time I stayed here was in September of 2006. I prefer the original wing which has more character and lovely rooms, to the new addition. It's worth paying the little bit extra for a room facing the lake (be warned, there is no beach, just a pier and walkway on the water), as the rooms on the other side face a fairly dreary strip of Kelowna road and the large parking lot below. The bar and restaurant are busy with locals and tourists, and the little liquor store attached has a great retro feel without being shabby. The reception desk is small but charming, and they'll treat you with professionalism and courtesy. Everything is spotless in the guest rooms, and the hotel has a really great, light-filled feel. The only drawback is that is it is pretty far away from the "centre" of Kelowna. You definitely can't wander into town for dinner.
