Hotel Edison

I stay at the Edison a couple of times a year, and have always loved it. The lobby is gorgeous, the location unbeatable. Blintzes in the cafe to die for. Bobby the door man is the best.

The staff was very helpful with a large group of middle school students. The bags were delivered up to the floor quickly and they were helpful with the students.

This hotel made me feel secure: There was a person at the door. The front desk staff was very helpful and wonderful!

I highly recommend this hotel, I have stayed there on my own as well as with a group. I find it the best managed hotel I have ever been in. All the elevators always work and despite the fact that it is a large hotel with groups and tourists always coming and going, there is never a lineup at the elevator. There is always staff to help with the luggage, check in is efficient and the staff is always friendly. It is well located for theatre and restaurants, it has an interesting Art Deco lobby separate from the check in lobby, therefore quiet. There are several restaurants in the building and subways nearby. It is an excellent hotel and priced lower than many. It is not your usual glitzy place, but it was run with sophistication.

The rooms were small and the bathrooms were smaller but the location for tourists is wonderful. It is an old hotel but very well kept. The help was a little abrupt but maybe that's New York.

It was beautiful inside and the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a little small but adequate.

This hotel made me feel secure: There was plenty of staff on hand to answer questions and assist with check in and checking of the bags. There was also hotel security in the lobby.
