This is a famous hotel I have seen many times on TV after staying there. If you want to make your Venice experience THE experience of a lifetime, stay at the Danieli. Most tourists stay off the island which makes "going back to the room' impossible. The ambiance and architecture is simply GRAND. You know that you are at one of the prime hotels in the world and obviously its part of the Starwood Luxury Collection. The price is steep, but you only need a couple of days to see Venice alone.
I really enjoyed the location of your hotel but i felt that it could have been much cleaner and better kept for have been givin a four star rating and for the price but for the most part i enjoyed my stay and i plan on coming back to visit venice...

This is supposed to be a Starwood Luxury Property and I think it's 5 star rating should be re-eavaluated. Our room had stains on the furniture & carpet and the walls were in dire need of paint. The hotel staff was aloof and unhelpful until we...
