Staff was very slow, unresponsive, and not very cooperative. The Hotel looks nice, but everything in it is of lousy quality. Extremely overpriced, considering everything.

This is a hidden secret on the River Walk. The hotel accommodations are perfect! Beautiful 1-bedroom suites accommodate the entire family. The parking fee is high but most in the area are high. The hotel's restaurant is a bit lacking but there are...

I was surprised that the hotel was not as luxurious as the price would indicate. The toilet backed up, the shower curtain was not wide enough to compliment the new curved shower rod, ran out of...

Hotel Contessa is located right on the Riverwalk with beautiful views. It has tranquil outdoor seating right on the river. They had outstanding customer service. The pool is on the top floor and has a beautiful view of the city.
My only complaint was that there was some hair on the shower wall...but it was probably hard for housekeeping to notice it against the tile. Also, the TV remote was "temperamental". Minor issues all in all.
pros: Easy access to RiverwalkAs we drove into entrance we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff. Even I had to wait a little longer than I thought I should the staff was attentive when it was my turn. The Bellman waited patiently with ...

I travel frequently around the country and Europe and found Hotel Contessa very mediocre. The hotel itself looked nice but service was slow. The most disappointing part of the stay at Contessa was the theft of several articles. I am sure this doesn't reflect on everyone there but it will prevent me from staying there again or recommending the hotel as this has never happened to me before at any hotel.

My family and I (parents, aged 40 something, and two boys aged 10 and 12) stayed at this hotel over Spring vacation, and were thoroughly pleased with the room and the service.
The suite had plenty of room for all of us and it was in good condition, and in a great location. Considering that the alternative was two rooms in many other hotels, the junior suite was much more economical.
