This is not a place that I would recommend. I was very dissapointed upon arrival to learn that they hade given my room away and had to place me in a double. The rooms are sparse, they have a work desk but high stools which make it almost impossible to use. Houskeeping is by request, and the rooms are not that clean (bring lysol). There are no amenities to speak of I had to spend $2.00+ a day just to get my morning coffee, 13+ dollars a day for internet access... etc... You get the idea. This hotel is off the strip (about 2 blocks)on Tropicana Avenue, no easy way to get here from the shuttles or the Deuce.
The restaruants in the hotel include Hooters, The Dixie Chixs and Dan Marano's, None of which are priced for the budget minded. If you really want some good choices you need to travel up to the strip and make your way uptown.
Overall this hotel was one of the worst that I stayed at during my frequent visits and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I stayed at Hooters Casino Hotel last summer and had a great time. This year, I returned to a completely different experience. It took three attempts to find me a room that had no issues (the first room was a smoking room when I had requested a...

My wife and I visit Vegas 2-3 times a year, and somehow we always end up back at Hooters, whether for the drinks and gambling, or to spend a few nights. It is the only place we've found on (or very near) the Strip where you can get an affordable room that's not old or worn down feeling. All of the rooms here were completely renovated a couple years ago when it switched over from the San Remo and the beds are among the most comfortable we've slept in for a moderately priced hotel.
Yes, the casino is small, but there are more than enough fun games to keep you occupied and they seem to pay relatively well. Despite being small, it is clean and modern and well cared for.
Yes, there are gorgeous Hooters girls around everywhere, but they are no more scantily dressed than the cocktail waitresses at every other casino in Vegas (they're actually MORE conservatively dressed than some!) and my wife says she has never felt uncomfortable or out of place at any of the hotel's venues (restaurant, pool, bar, etc.). The pool area is nice and has three large pools all with different water temperatures (including a 60-person hot tub). If you go, you MUST try the Nipper's Juice, which is a fruity frozen cocktail that packs more of a punch than it tastes like; these are available in the Hooter's restaurant or poolside. We've spent many a Vegas daylight hour sitting in the big hot tub sipping on these things!
The best thing about Hooters Casino Hotel is the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the guests that stay here seem a lot more laid back and friendly as well. There have been other Vegas hotels where I immediately feel like I get the cold shoulder if I walk in off the street wearing cargo shorts and flip-flops. Not at Hooters! That's the atmosphere they're going for. Regardless of your budget, if you are more comfortable hanging out on the back porch sipping a beer and chatting with cool people rather than sitting in the conservatory smoking a cigar and drinking fine scotch, then you're going to like this place.
There are much better places to stay

Horrible
The hotel is very small, was never clean, and smelled like old beer from all the young people dumping their drinks. The service every where in the hotel was terrible. They only had one elevator working, and the stairway was so gross and always full...
Chose hooters for my first trip to vegas, and i cant complain, the staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Check-in took maybe 2 minutes. The casino was a little small but i cant complain cause you can just take the 5 minute walk to the MGM...
My husband and I stayed @ Hooters along with some friends for the first time. Our room was ok, not including the bathroom which looked like it needed to be repainted. The casino was small and there weren't many options for dining. But for me the...

This was our first experience in Vegas and we booked Hooters online basically due to a few good reviews I read and the room rate was the best we could find. We arrived at about 1:00 and was told our rooms would not be ready until 3-4. It was 108...

This was my third stay. Couldn't beat the price and location but there is not much going on there anymore. The pool area was dead and the bar, Nippers, was only opened 2 of the 7 days I was there. Only 2 of the 3 elevators worked and they were very slow.
Guess that is why they won't be around much longer. Sorry to see them go. It was a fun place to be the last 2 years. Really gone down hill.
