Homewood Suites by Hilton Stratford

It catered mainly to people visiting the Sikorsky plant across the street. It was a nice experience.

This hotel made me feel welcome: There was a breakfast in the morning and a casual gathering with drinks at night.

The hotel was attractive, clean, roomy, and well-designed. It was farther from New Haven than desired. The room lighting did not include high-wattage bulbs to make reading more comfortable.

The hotel's location across from Sikorsky is perfect. The breakfast and dinner receptions are very good. The only problem is that it is so good that it's difficult to get a room sometimes.

We had a fire alarm go off and no one from the hotel made sure we were out of our rooms. There was an elderly person next door who was not sure what to do. My husband and told her to evacuate. No one in the hotel even said they were sorry for the fal.
