Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix Metro

After reserving in September for a February stay, we almost did not get a room. The hotel had overbooked.

We were paying $189 for a suite with two queen beds. After much arguing, we got a smoking room with one king bed. The hotel is definitely not worth $189 a night, no matter what room you get. The towels are scratchy, and the breakfast was not that great.

Worst of all, the hotel staff was rude. It was very disappointing.

They told me that I didn't have to reserve a crib when I called a week before my stay. When I got to the hotel, they were all out of cribs. It was a problem trying to find a bed for a toddler at the last minute.

I have stayed here before. I think Homewood Suites is the best value suite chain of all the majors, Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and others, and I like the two physical rooms, the decor, and the comfort. It is a good value for the price paid.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last five years when visiting Phoenix for the NASCAR races. It has a good location and reasonable rates.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: I liked that it had a separate bedroom and I did not have to share the room or the bed with my traveling companion.

I like the fact that the room has a separate bedroom and living area, as well as a kitchen.
