I've been really impressed with this Hilton property. Located immediately across the street from Colorado Springs newest shopping district, The Shops at Briargate, the hotel is pretty centrally located to the best of what Colorado Springs has to offer.
Check-in is quick, and the service is fantastic. The lobby and suites are all quite lavishly appointed for a Hilton. They also offer a selection of free newspapers (USA Today, The Wall St. Journal, Colorado Springs Gazette), a 24-hour amenties/gift shop with everything from frozen dinners and ice cream to postcards and stationary, a 24-hour business center (alas, only one computer terminal), a full, free continental breakfast and evening appetizer hour (a menu on your in-room fridge tells you what the menu is for the month for appetizer hour) and more. They even have a service now where you can fill out a shopping list on your in-room refrigerator, and they?ll go and buy the items for you and then stock your fridge! All items are billed to your room, so you don't have to deal with additional bills. A neat service and one of these days I'm planning to take advantage of it.
The rooms themselves are all suites, with a small but comfortable living room and separated bedroom with door. The bathtub/shower combo includes one of those curved shower rods that makes you feel like you have way more room than you do, and some decent Neutrogena bath products.
The staff really goes out of their way to help you. Our room was missing it?s internet connection and modem, so the staffer at the front desk actually pulled one from another room and came to rehook a new connection for us, despite the fact that he was the only one at the desk at the time. They care about their guests and it really shows. A great place to stay away from home ? I've never stayed here more than one night but I really wouldn't mind!
