During an extended service in Salt Lake, I stayed three different times at Homestead Suites. One stay was for two nights, one for a week, and one for two weeks.
This is a good residential set-up. I enjoyed having a kitchen and laundry room on-site. It is located very close to a number of retail shops, grocery stores, movie theatre and restaurants. The rooms were never cleaned on the promised schedule, housekeeping either showed up on a different day than the calendar outlined, or they didn't show up at all.
On my first stay some of the towels showed dark stains, almost like mascara or tar had been wiped up. On the next two trips the rooms were fine, they cleaned more often than I expected, if anything. The first floor was often noisy, lots of people passing by, and loud footsteps overhead. The second floor, the rear of the building was very pleasant. A nature trail that is paved for walking runs behind the building connects with an enjoyable mall. It includes a large bookstore, Wild Oats grocery, a steakhouse and fast food joints -- plus Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy and the Sundance Outlet store made this enjoyable in the evening.
They offer high speed internet for a fee and the service had a terrific phone support team when I needed to call for help.
