Basically booked the room because it was a good rate. When we finally got there, they said the rate was a price mistake and told us they could not honor the price and they did not have a room available for us.

Despite the poor reviews I ended up staying at the Homestead in Brea because it was more convenient for my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised...the staff went above and beyond and the room was clean and well-appointed. I felt safe and like it was...
35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
I stayed here for a week for business. I very much liked the location of hotel; easy access to freeway, tons of shops, restaurants and things to do in the area and the area is very pretty! Negatives; bad mattress, room too small, location of my room was bad (under the stairs?!), no stopper in tub, cable channels sucked, no dishwasher to wash dishes and no soap supplied to wash them either. If I stayed here again, I would ask for a bigger room in a better location OR, I would just stay at the hotel next door. It looked way nicer.

Upon check-in found mold in bathroom, hair in sink and dust and dirt everywhere. The layout of the motel is confusing and I did not find the staff to be helpful.

If you are on a low budget this hotel will do, but if you want even a little extra comfort you won't get it here. It was nice to have the kitchen, but there were not enough utinsils for all in our party. We asked for a non-smoking room and the room...

The room was fair. I was disappointed because the carpets was dirty and there was not screen on the window. The air conditioner NEVER worked even after I called the front desk to have it fixed.

Okay
At first sight of Homestead I was eager to see how small the room actually was. To my suprise, it was like a bachelor apartment, with full amenities! Price was within most any budget for an extended stay. Quiet, in a good location for any activity....
45 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
It was near a major freeway to get me where I needed to go. It was a well-lit hotel site. The room was great, it was more than I expected and very comfortable. I would book it again in the near future.
The stay was like home away from home in a much smaller version. The grocery store was close and even my most favorite fast food place was close.
I am very likely
to return to the Homestead Orange County - Brea.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
