We went to Homestead for our honeymoon. It was the perfect place to stay! It was the "off season" in Door County, but we loved the quiet. We enjoyed the fireplace, free movies at the front desk, and they even gave us a free bottle of wine...
We had a great time, in a 1-bedroom room with a sink, fridge and microwave. The pool is a Godsend in bad weather. Great location, great rooms, wonderful people.

You can't beat the location of this small hotel. It is just outside the entrance to the park and within walking distance of town. There are restaurants across the street and right next door (Julie's Cafe and a great custard place "Not Licked Yet"). The rooms are a little on the small size, but they were clean and nicely decorated. They have upgraded toiletries. They have a small outdoor and indoor pool. They also loan board games and video's which are great on rainy nights. Each room has either a patio or balcony. The view from our room was of Main Street. It would be great if it was of the water, but Fish Creek is a sleepy town. It is not an entirely unpleasant view. Skip the continental breakfast, it's not worth getting up early for.

WOW...this place is awesome. WONDERFUL in any season - indoor pool, breakfast, etc. VERY nice rooms. EASY ACCESS to Peninsula State Park - biking, hiking, swimming within close walking distance. MANY restaurants across/down the street. ...

EVERYTHING AT THE HOMESTEAD SUITES WAS FABULOUS. ROOMS WERE TOP NOTCH. FRONT DESK PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY.. THANK YOU TO ALL THE EMPLOYEES FOR MAKING US FEEL AT HOME.
